KIM GLASSBOROW
Kim is the Principal Lawyer and founder of G&B Lawyers, a Sydney city firm offering expert services in sustainable planning, property & environmental law.
In 2014, Kim founded G&B Lawyers an Australian legal practice with deep experience in the resource recovery, energy and property markets.
Over the last decade, Kim has become the ‘go to trusted advisor’ to many clients who have large industrial & corporate portfolios.
She is also a refined and impactful litigator with 21 years’ experience in the court-room.
She was also a former Director (serving 2 terms) of the National Board for the Waste Management & Resource Recovery Association of Australia, the peak body for the waste and resource recovery industry in Australia.
She provides highly strategic advice on all aspects of town-planning, local government, environmental and property law with a deep understanding of the waste / resource recovery sector.
Kim was previously the Senior Legal Counsel at Dial-A-Dump Industries (a large Australian waste management and landfill facility). Prior to that, she was a Senior Lawyer at Clayton Utz in Sydney, a leading top-tier national law firm.
Kim advises clients on a wide range of planning and environment related matters, including merit appeals and judicial reviews in the Land & Environment Court, contaminated land legislation, compulsory land acquisitions, valuation disputes, pollution incidents, regulatory issues, prosecutions and enforcement proceedings.
Over the last 21 years, Kim has advised clients and acted in complex matters involving State and Federal legislation and regulators. She regularly liaises with various government authorities and departments at a Local, State and Federal level.
She was the former elected Chair of the NSW Law Society Young Lawyers Planning & Environmental Law Committee.
Kim is also a longstanding author for the legal publishing house Lexis Nexis Australia on the Land and Environment Court and holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) / Bachelor of Laws from the University of New South Wales.
Kim is regularly invited to speak at leading industry conferences, both in Australia and overseas.
She was admitted to legal practice in 2005.
